Hey Gang – a couple of quick notes/linkies to get you up to date with our doings here in Saint Central:

– the Anime Evolution convention is this weekend at Simon Fraser University in beautiful Burnaby, BC. They’re expecting about 5000 attendees this year, a nice handful of which’ll be local BS boosters! We aiming to have a nifty booth in the Artist’s Alley, a panel and chapter screening, as well as FREE leftover Comicon swag (!!!), special guest signings with RAIMI, ORAN, and MARS, and even a rare appearance of the ORIGINAL DVDs. Should be a wacky (and quite affordable) time, so if you’re anywhere nearby be sure to make the trek and hang with the cast and crew. And bring your karaoke voice…

(PS – This just in from ASHTON – Calling all Vancouver Saints – Needing a place to CRASH!!! Looks like I’m good to go with accomodation for Fri & Sat night, but Sunday night is looking a little iffy. I might need a place to stay on Sunday night and then leave on the 6/7/8/9am ferry on Monday morning (fun! ). If anyone in the area could suggest a cheap/free place to crash for the night in Vancouver that’s easy enough to get to from AE (SFU Burnaby mountain campus), I would be very grateful.

Sarah Brind and the kind folks at FOX UK have been doing their darnedest to spread the saintly word before the release across the pond later this month…and the goodie to the right is a wondefully unique expression of those efforts!

Here’s the poop – they’ve cobbled together a makeshift birth certificate for Shandala, and posted it on EBAY. It’s framed and signed, and the proceeds will be going to a charity of our choice. All you gotta do (especially easy if you live in Britain, mateys) is get the bidding rolling – the clock’s set at two weeks and counting!!!

Reports are rolling in from across North America of Saints Sightings and some pretty good reviews. I can’t say that we’re displeased. If time allows, keep sending us snaps and stories of your intrepid excursions into the concrete jungle, and be sure to mobilize your peeps for prodigious weekend purchasing – the better the DVD does at the outset, the more likely Murdoch’s cronies are to get behind it on all fronts.

Slumber calls yet again…oh, to rise and be kissed by that gleaming orb, and to have the sleep cleansed from mine eyes by swollen rivers of heartfelt gratitude.
