…is to surrender to the SPREE!!!

This fan video from a previous Polyphonic Spree show is pretty low-fi, but I felt it best captures the awesome ‘front-and-center-of-the-crowd’ vibe that electrified and cracked the fourth chakra wiiiiiiiiide open last night in Vangroovy. I’ve been dying to see these cats – a 24-person pop/rock/gospel/psychedelic/hippie/classical melting pot – for 4 years now, and I finally got my wish. In that opening chorus, they chant their mantra with pride – Love. Love. Love. Love. Love. LOVE!!! – and the cynic in me has been given a facecloth full of ether for a few days.
