You are insane. We knew that, of course, but it’s good to have confirmation.

An idle fantasy of mine has been to walk completely across the United States sometime. It couldn’t happen without a lot more training in hiking, plus there are money concerns, blah blah blah . . .

In a lecture later in his life, the great mountaineer, sailor and adventurer H.W. Tillman was asked how, being interested in such a thing, one would go about joining a climbing expedition. Tillman’s answer reflected his own philosophy and approach: “Put on your boots, and go”,

It’s not always quite that simple, but very good to keep in mind that many of the feats and achievements of ‘great’ figures throughout history have begun in much the same fashion, or at least in the same spirit. I can’t speak for Brooke, but for myself, inasmuch as I have ever accomplished anything worthwhile, it has been largely with the same approach.

Damn straight, cous´! Just finished at the 800K mark (give or take 20) and am standing at Earth´s End in Finisterre. Gonna burn some clothes and say some prayers before hopping on a bus to the beaches at Muxia. Lots of stories to share, and finally found the inspiration I was much in need of.

Things are only going to get more interesting from hereon in!

Much love from Galicia province in Spain…

    Hey Brooke!!!!
I just found this website and read that you really did ist. You finished the camino!! It’s so great!!! Congratulations!!
I don’t know if you remember me, but we spent two evenings together in Azofra and Granon with other nice people. You gave me your card on my birthday in Granon and then we met again in Burgos in front of the cathedral when Henni and I had to leave. I lost the card and your email address. So I’m happy that I found this site and hope you get this message. If you feel like it, you can write me, then I’ll send you a few pictures of the camino!!!
Have a safe trip home to Canada, a big hug from Katrin
