Hi folks. I sent one of these pics to Brooke hoping we would be deemed blog-worthy but I guess the man is up to his ears in somethingerother. So I'm grabbing the bull by the horns and posting them myself.
The legendary Jeff McAdam ('the new guy') was here last week for a visit, we had a decent amount of hang time which we spent in true European fashion, mosey-ing around 18th-century palaces and drinking fine German beer. As the pics below will attest...
Also, I am doing another solo piano concert tonight:
... actually, as the flyer says, this will be my European Premiere for the solo piano project - and also marking the release in Germany of two solo piano CDs: 'continuum:one' and 'The Broken Saints Concert'. They will be available on NovaTune Records - along with all the BS soundtrack titles and some other goodies. NovaTune is a 'Fair Trade' label meaning that for those on this side of the Atlantic it should be a bit cheaper to order stuff from them. They are also in the process of preparing the original online series for release in German - meaning all the captions and dialog in place, rather than subtitles.
Anyway. Now you know. -t
p.s. Avast, me hearties... _________________ "I try to be as progressive as I can possibly be - as long as I don't have to try too much..."

Ahh, but if you read the fine print, you'll know that we share no actual family genes - so if there's a likeness, it's 100% nurture. Or perhaps just that fact that I think he's trying to copy my hair... of course, apparently I'm trying to copy Jeff's... _________________ "I try to be as progressive as I can possibly be - as long as I don't have to try too much..."

Wow, that's a great image. If only it better framed the subjects, 'cause it's really evocative. Neato.

thanks - though it's actually jeff's left-handiwork on that one. My only complaint about the pic is that it doesn't show the groovy crusty barman who normally is stationed right behind us there - he must have slipped away for a couple of seconds.
And by the way the beer was fantastic, all-natural, and unfiltered. As the sign behind us says, they serve it in 'meters' if you want - 12x0.2l glasses all in a row. And the pub is right beside the palace in the other picture - the Schloss Charlottenburg, the grounds and gardens of which I often pass through on my morning run. Just a few of the perks of european living. It's tough work, but someone has to do it... _________________ "I try to be as progressive as I can possibly be - as long as I don't have to try too much..."

Hi again...
So, I successfully ran the Berlin Marathon yesterday in a little over 4 and 1/2 hours, which I am quite proud of. A substantially more detailed description of the experience can be found on my blog. Anyone else run one of these things? Want to share your thoughts?
Here's a picture:
Also, the concert last week was quite successful, and the recording sounds great, so there's a good chance I'll be plugging that before too long. I'll get samples posted and such.
You can now hear full-length streaming 96k samples of a number of my albums (more coming soon!) at my new German label, Novatune _________________ "I try to be as progressive as I can possibly be - as long as I don't have to try too much..."

It's just a thought. I'm not saying he actually looks like him, it was the way he posed that caught my attention. |

Just for shits and giggles, here are a couple more pics of the marathon madness:
(they're samples from the official race photographer. I haven't bought anything from them yet so I can't get rid of the sample text...)
my legs are feeling really close to normal now! -t _________________ "I try to be as progressive as I can possibly be - as long as I don't have to try too much..."
