See, I once had a roommate who was a musician. He gave me perspective on a lot of things. Like, for example, Danny Elfman. While watching The Nightmare before Christmas, he would rattle off "And here's Danny Elfman Song Number Three!" and so on as we got to each subsequent musical experience. From then on, I realized that I could do the same thing myself when I listened to his other movie scores, such as Batman Returns.

The man has . . . well . . . shall we say . . . a certain thematic consistency.
