I saw a secret number on my invitation... Are you doing some a LOST kind of thing and secretly bringing us together to a mysterious, unknown island of mystery and wonder?

I was expecting your statement to end "mystery and murder." I guess you did not think of that.

But I just checked, and I see you got the number of the wedding date. Lucky you. Midnight Writer was also lucky and got 42 on hers. No one got number 1, though, because row 1 is taken up with header information for my Excel spreadsheet where I keep track of everyone's RSVP by number just in case they are foolish enough to send a document back without actual names attached.

I hope this clears things up.

I also received mine. Sorry I'm late to the party on this one, but when you've been told some medical news you'd rather not have and then have the people be assholish about it, you tend to ignore most of the world around you.

Well, argh, Xan! Stay alive! This is important!

Yeah, the two of us have been buried in work on the wedding. The rest of the concerns of the world have fallen by the wayside, e.g., deleting spam from the forums. Hopefully, none of you have been infected by the terrible "bots are annoying" virus.

The present task: we are trying to get a final attendee count for the various parts of the event, so a number of you now have an e-mail from us (which hopefully doesn't sound too pestering) about RSVP's. Please, um, check your e-mail. Please?

Also, don't die. Any of you.

For your edification, the following will NOT be seen on the back of the wedding program:

We, in preparing the wedding program, did NOT wrote:
We thank you for being a part of this with us. And for turning off those dumb phones. Seriously; "smart" phones? How does that work? They ring at all hours! You have to tell them to shut up! And then, if you actually answer them, there’s PEOPLE on the other end!

Yay! Thank you!

You should try getting married sometime, assuming you have not already done so.

It just dawned on me that I might be meeting some of you for the first time ever.

After 10 years of being here on the boards.

Wow.

Wow.

Only those of you who are actually coming. It's not as many as it would be if, say, we were arranging another "Broken Saints meetup" back in the heyday of this place. But whatever it may be, we're going to get our wedding photographer to do a formal group shot of the (small) group at the event.

Never been to a 'Broken Saints Meet-up' and thusly, never met anyone from here in in person before. This should be a lot of fun!

Wow, I can't believe I've been here for nearly 10 years. It doesn't seem like it's been that long, and I still remember the Vancouver meet-up like it was yesterday.

It was good stuff. And the two of us miss poutine, so we are going back to Vancouver as we can.

Now, the wedding day in question approaches. Does anyone here (who is planning to attend) require any further information? Say, contact information for anybody else that has yet to be exchanged?

Also, recall that in this thread over here I made a TANTALIZING SUGGESTION. Sadly, the Reverie-person shall not be there to see the comic. Do any of the confirmed attendees wish access to said comic? I ask because, well, if no one needs it, then I won't risk damage to the comic.

Also also, a note about the seating plan for dinnertime. I hope you people are comfortable sitting at a table with other friends of ours, all of whom are about your age and have interests similar to yours. It might be tough, what with getting along immediately and all, so I thought you could use advance warning.
