Do you also require a marriage license? Because we picked up one of those the other day for some reason.

I assume that the wedding was amazing and fun times were had by all?

Yes and yes! It was a fantastic weekend!

Awkward as Hell, but shared awkwardness between those of us who were meeting for the first time, so it was more amusing than anything.

It was a beautiful ceremony!

I'm glad that people liked the ceremony. It's a very fortunate thing that we were able to have a ceremony outside any religious tradition, yet satisfying to attendees who expected a religious ceremony. This was the goal; and since lots of those latter attendees said what you (Midnight Writer) just said, we are very relieved to say that it worked.

Also, the fish were great. And the wedding cake was composed of three types of chocolate.

Sorry about the lack of Reverie, but we did have Eggplants, Sponges, and Writings that happened at 12:00 AM.

And you folks are free to organize meetings as desired. You live on this great big planet called Earth, but I've been led to understand there's this other place called "the social network" that makes it easier to bring people together.

For example, before the wedding, Caroljoy and I enjoyed meeting the Eggplant for a meal in Boston when going through for unrelated reasons. It worked.

Whee!

And going back a step:

There was awkwardness? Well, I suppose that was your matter to handle. The two of us were busy making sure we talked to absolutely everybody no matter what.

And there was one interesting thing about that. I had figured on preparing this list of smalltalky bits to say to people I didn't know, but then everybody came to me with something on his/her mind. People had real things to ask and we had a lot of real conversations. It was neat.

A 6 hour car ride, hotel room stay and wedding with people I'd never met in person. I think it would have been weirder if there hadn't been awkwardness.

Didn't mean anything negative by it, though. Had a fantastic weekend and everyone was super nice! Eggplant and I even stopped for lunch with your best man and his girlfriend on Sunday.

Like I said, the ceremony was beautiful. And if you'll recall earlier email discussions, the love, joy and pride that filled the atmosphere outweighed any and all awkwardness.

All awkwardness and McDonald's-induced food poisoning were vastly outweighed by how great the ceremony was. I certainly had fun despite my rebellious insides.

But I don't talk much during long car rides...so, yeah, that could certainly be construed as awkward

I pass out during long car rides.

For reference, I am usually not the driver during long car rides.

So, connecting these ideas, we would get a driver who doesn't talk and a passenger who doesn't listen. Would have been ideal. I guess your passenger was foolishly conscious and is therefore wholly to blame for any awkwardness.

Is that why you rarely rode OCTA?

You know, I still ride OCTA. I'm not sure how I managed to miss you so regularly, given that you were riding the thing plenty.
