Recently I've been thrown back into a Broken Saints marathon, which also included re-watching a lot of the extra content on the DVDs. Which is amazing in itself, because I realize that there was a lot of stuff that I didn't catch back then that I understand now (especially a lot of the pop culture references).

In regards to the extra content, though, I was watching the video from the 2005 Comic Con and noticed that there was quite a few concept art and stuff that I had never seen before (more particularly, the tarot deck at 1:11-1:17. Do my eyes deceive me or was that Cielle over there next to the Raimi card?).

Not sure if you can find any digital copies of these online, but if anyone has them or can point me in the right direction (or not), I'd definitely like to get a look at them in better quality. Since I took a look at my Broken Saints folder and noticed that I could add more to my collection.

Speaking of Comic Con... I can't believe I had never seen this trailer for the video game before.

Well, yay for DVD watching. Also, tarot cards. We were teased with them cards in the past. Here is an old thread wherein you may search for the word "tarot." In fact, searching on the forums in general for "tarot" is an enlightening experience.

I want those cards. I do not believe I can have those cards. It is sad.

Also, I don't know where I'd seen that trailer before, but we've totally discussed it. The use of Wii remote combat in one scene, and DS touchscreen movement in another, was deemed noteworthy. Then it all . . . fizzled . . .

So sad. But we'll always have Paris.

Aw man, broken images doesn't help much! But thanks for the link.

I do really want those cards, too. The Masayuki one is absolutely delightful. I wish I could have gone to Comic Con that year... I'd have totally scavenge for money for some of them.

I know, I am sad that the game pretty much fizzled out. Although I always was kind of unsure about how Broken Saints would translate to a vidya game.

Can't help but wonder about that mini series, though...

So, while I haven't had any luck finding any info on the BS tarot cards, anyone has any idea about...

Anyone?

Anyone?

Bueller?

Because it exists... and I want it.

I have it. You may recall that it came with one of the releases that was shaped like this:

I've lost track of the details, but the comic was available to the first 250 online purchases or something like that. Also, there were two different covers for the thing: one available from the online purchase, and one available from whatever convention that was. I do not remember which cover you are displaying there, as I do not have my DVD set nearby to consult.

I could conceivably bring my comic to the wedding and pass it around the Broken Saints table. TANTALIZING SUGGESTION.

Is that supposed to be an incentive?

But yeah, that would be totally ace! I was hoping to find a scan of it somewhere online, but I've only seen it mentioned on Newgrounds. I was starting to question its existence. What's it about, if I may ask?

It is about the secrets known only to the members of the thirteenth circle.

It tells the alchemical formula behind prosperity.

It lists the myriad pronunciations of the names of the shadows.

It enumerates the roads a man must walk down.

It contains instructions for tending the True Cross within a window garden box.

It holds the recipe for biscuits. The only recipe for biscuits.

It shows off a few things that happened immediately before the first scenes in Chapter 1 of Broken Saints.

Not everyone could come to the wedding. This is a fact. And now, thanks to your magical scanner technology, they didn't have to.

P.S.: Except when it comes to getting those biscuits. You snooze, you lose.
