Yeah Mindy, I figured it out after I realized that Samesun and GVB link to each other from their sites, the Van content had been deleted but the frameset was still there on the GVB site, and the fact the photo of SameSun still has GVB on the front of it.

Holmes would have a field day with me. >_<

Bunny slippers are so cuuute though. *pouts*

...ANYWAY!

I just got back from my weekend away and am having a crazy time catching up, but in case people hadn't noticed either on the BS blog a few days ago or by Richard's little link in his post earlier in this thread, I set up the BS Board Rats Meet-Up Info Page for your perusal. The lodging info regarding the SameSun hostel stuff is up there, as is the Seattle plane/bus stuff. If anyone needs or has more info on alternative routes, or wants me to put more general info up about YVR and how to get to downtown Van from there, let me know.

The list for "Things To Do" is kinda sucky and small right now, but I'll expand on that once I've actually got some time to read up more in my guides and crap. I've been so busy and/or dead tired it is so not funny.

Also, people who are making definitive plans to show up, tell me so I can add you to the "Who's Coming?" list. That includes the Vancouverites! And should I add the crew? It seems kind of redundant, but...

And an aside to Z and anyone else who was looking at SameSun private rooms - the twin rooms are gone, but the double ones aren't as far as I know. If you realllly want to get a private room and don't mind paying double or sleeping in the same bed with someone else if you can still get a roomie, you could e-mail them and ask about it. Another possibility is giving the twin room folks puppy dog eyes because they can take in a third person for $20 extra, though there's two people sharing the double bottom bed that way. But the dorm rooms prolly aren't half so bad though, and if you're wary about leaving things there, they've got lockers and stuff.

My main issue is I'm paranoid and dislike sharing a room with people I don't know lest I get shivved in the night like a prison bitch. At least I kiiiiind of know you guys. ~_^

Anyways... Anyone want to share a bed with me then?

Those moose slippers totally rock.

Plus, you are inordinately tall in person. But I'm digressing.

Did you get my e-mail on the subject? Which I also reiterated here? (This is me pushing like mad for us to find a way to do 5.1 together. Saintly crew, where was that place that you were previewing your DVD work? Can we rent it??)

Right, sorry that I didn't get back to you about that, I was away on Saturday...

But, I love the series and I'd love to watch some of the chapters in actual 5.1 with the lot of you - but personally, I don't really want to spend alllll those days, the few we have together, cooped up in a room doing just that. o_O Maybe we can just pick out our fav chapters to run through? (C18, damnit, C18!)

I'm all for trying that Fritz place as well. Do I need to add that to the "Things To Do"?

Points three:

-Yay Fritz! Up with poutine!

-Sushi is plentiful here. Very, very plentiful like no other place outside of Nihon. And in good quality, if you're into that kind of thing.

-Sponge will be missed. We should hold a sponge vigil or something. Yeah... yeah, that would be pretty easy. Assuming I remember, it is done.

I'll bring a box of used sponges that we can sacrifice or something.

Just a general question... since we have the room 7/20 through 7/27, that means we get to stay for the night of the 27th and check out the morning on the 28th? Or do we vacate on the 27th?

Vacate on the 27th. On the reservation page, it is departure date for the last day when you sign up, so yea. You check out on the 27th

I . . . don't know. But I have just sent them an e-mail on the subject, so we shall find out. Personally, I intend to travel to Vancouver during the day on the 20th, and leave Vancouver during the day on the 27th. That way, there is no chance of there being a conflict.

EDIT: Aherm. Timing.

Oh, I agree with the sentiment. The big reason why I suggested doing this was that I knew I was missing out on something in the "freakout" scenes. So, my vote would be for every Chapter that had such a thing (or had a storm, for that seemed to truly impress the crew).

Yep.

Okay, I think I know what I will do. I will take a flight that gets me in to the Vancouver Airport at about din-din time on the 20th. I will leave from said airport in the morning on the 27th. Sometime presently, I shall buy the tickets.

How's about you, Eggplant?

Okay, then. I was planning to arrive there on the 20th. I was hoping to spend the last day (my birthday) in Vancouver. But that's fine. I'll leave that morning. Or I could go down to Seattle and visit some family. Maybe find a job there.
