Look. In my situation, the choices are long, short, and Beatles.

Its funny, I want to reconnect with an old bible study friend of mine. After reading some of the things he is posting on facebook, and then seeing his christian friends get on his case over it, I'm thinking he might need some encouragement.

Hell, I would have been on his case too. "That's moral relativism. The Bible is the inspired word of God and is 100% trufax. Homosexuality is wrong." I get a bad taste in my mouth typing that, even if I don't believe it anymore.

Up to you. You've said you're a different person now, so you'd have to say whether you still fit in with the individual in question.

if she's just avoiding me because she's moved on from me, but doesn't want to tell me, i wish she'd just break up with me now. i can't fucking deal with this again, i don't know how i got into the exact same situation with two different people. obviously something's wrong with me, or i'm fundamentally unlikable. i swear to god if this ends like this, i'm asexual from now on. i'm so done with dating.

My sister, die hard conservative, served in the air force, No-bama, etc. Anyways, one of her friends jokes about how many people are going to be moving to Canada (if Obama wins, I'm moving to Canada) and my sister, in all of her naivety, says that she'd rather move to Sweden.

I'd point out the irony/hypocrisy of her comment relative to her political affiliations and beliefs, but she was already threatening to un-friend me on Facebook. Not that I'd mind much, she's just so fun to watch. Like a train wreck, you just can't look away.

Sorry to hear about the messy situation. Got anything (safe) to distract yourself? As with any injury, there's an immediate pain you just need to survive. Afterward, you can think about the situation more and see if there's anything that can be learned/done/managed.

And if there's no greater meaning to learn, don't dwell on it. Ruminating on something that depressed you just keeps you depressed. You wouldn't worry about a stubbed toe any longer than it takes to move that stupid chair back under the table; same here.

So there's your cheer-up speech. Feel free to tell me I was way off-mark.

For better Bearsies. You're footloose and fancy free! Embrace it, revel in it, and take care of yourself. Nothing else matters at this point but you. *Hugs*

*Edit* Oh and what Rexie said.

Let's see, what sort of "mood" do I have at Christmas, and how do I "get in" said mood? Well, that mood is usually "I still have work to do, I'm still going to do it during my spare time," and I get into it by "I still have work to do."

Yup.

Christmas music was playing at work today. I was kinda pissed, they don't usually start that shit until the day after thanksgiving. Its not that I hate Christmas music, its just the Muzak shit they play gets grating on my nerves.

When you manage to hear a dozen different renditions of Santa Baby at work in a single day, one of which was a guy singing, you begin to start questioning your sanity.

It sucks that I can't bask in the afterglow of my writing accomplishments over FaceBook so my writer friends can see - not without having to put up with my sister's passive aggressive remarks as she tries to guilt me because I'm writing, I'm enjoying writing, but I'm not going out to places that I can't afford to go to right now with her.
After giving it some thought, I think I'm just going to delete the message, because it just upsets me to look at.

Oh and also baby, it's cold outside.

Hah! I forgot about the male version of Santa Baby! Hehe...so glad they stopped playing that at work.

Although its stoppage did give way to seven hundred different versions of Marshmallow World. Not sure which is worse, actually.
