"I want an alien for Christmas"

Here I was thinking a hippopotamus was being excessive.

Side note, trying to pick a new series to watch. Just finished K-on (I needed a break from critical thinking, so sue me) and looking for something either super serious or action packed. Maybe I'll dust off BS (hell, I bet I still have my extra copy in the shrink wrap still).

Just when I thought I had it all figured out, someone tries too hard to get me to realize that I'm wanted in this world. (previously GoldenRoseEmpress and XuShenLi). You know what? Why didn't I just realize that my father was to blame for my shortcomings instead of myself?

One more reason to make me glad that I'm out now.

I wish the best for those who joined the military because they deserve a better life than what they're doing right now, serving our country is not the best choice. We don't need to go to war at all.

I can only speak in generalities, of course, but one of the big things that happens in unpleasant relationships is internalizing. Something bad is happening; therefore it must be your fault. In truth, it COULD be the other person's fault, or the fault of the terrible situation in which you BOTH find yourself.

Your specific phrasing--"shortcomings"--makes it a little harder to address. If a failure truly is yours, then you should be able to own up to it. Accept it, then make it better (if possible). What you are (hopefully) realizing is that other people can indeed make your life more difficult than it needs to be.

I need to stop telling myself "one of these days I'm going to..." and just do it.

One of these days I will.

I'm done dealing with fake people, especially those on the internet. If you wanted attention, all you had to do was be yourself and stop using gaming icons on the internet in order to get someone's approval. You never needed anyone's approval.

4 days until the "end of the world" nonsense will finally be over. One way or another.
The winter solstice has other reasons for being important. BS marathon? BS marathon.

Finished disc one, which I think was the first 8 chapters. Moving on to disc 2. I found that if I change the scaling in my player, BS will play in close to a 16:9 aspect ratio. The only thing is the menus were formatted for 4:3. Oh well, the price I pay.
Speaking of paying, I noticed that I still have my 2nd copy of the fox set still in its plastic. I need to give that away already. I've been meaning to for years, but never got around to it. Just have to dust it off.

P. S. Good to see you again Gups.

Ever get the feeling someone who is perhaps an asshole in real life didn't need to speak up for the one you truly love? I Let the person speak for himself/herself, not you.

Why is it that old friends from high school, college, whatever always say keep in touch, but it's always me sending that initial email, text or call.

Nerves are shot and paranoia is cranked to the max. Just need to survive for three more days, and then it will all be over.

Are you alive?

I gave you a few extra days to pull it together, or heal, or sleep, or eat, or pet a cat
