For those out there who like me don't like big words: "I have lots of stuff to do, I get a job soon. I am happy.I am try hard."

On a second note: I feel like one of these days I finally will be able to share with my family this secret burden I have been harboring for a good 2.5 years. It's tough, but I am looking to the future.

Okay, okay, okay. I am now at the end of the twentieth page of solid text in my dissertation. I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.

To make a post-it note mosaic, perhaps?

I wish! lol It would have been much more interesting. I had to stick them all on sheets of paper with templates on them to print little "No video or audio recording" type notes to go on the programs for tomorrow night when Maya Angelou is gonna be talking at our university. It's nuts! We sold out the event. 1500 people! For an hour long event. O_o

Over a span of time somewhere in the last 24 hours, I made strawberry cheesecake on a hot dog bun.

Sometime more recently than that, I brought this thread back up.

Recently, I (theoretically) saved the world by exploiting a buffer overflow.

Today I meditated with a Tibetan Buddhist monk beneath a tree. Well, he is actually American-born, and so was under the tree because he was the one from his monastery's delegation who spoke English. The other monks, the Tibetan-born ones, were in this university's student center finishing up a sand mandala.

Today I discovered that, although most of the sand is to end up in a body of water, attendants of the dissolution ceremony of a sand mandala may be given little packets of the sand to spread the blessing. In this case, the sand was mixed with some other leftover from a multi-week-long mandala ceremony performed at their actual monastery in Tibet. The monk described it as giving the blessing an "octane boost."

Today I got my first official magic item. I have, through a process of education and deduction, determined that it can be used to give a +1 bonus when sprinkled on the corners of my next place of residence.

HAHAHA! A gaming reference. That's not what I expected at the end there, Rex.

Well, it was appropriate. I was surprised to see just how much joking around the monks did, and the "octane boost" line was in fact intended to be humorous when they said it to us.

And, well, you might have noticed I've been on a gaming kick recently.

Put it all together, and I get to be simultaneously silly and truthful. This is a preferred state.

Hmm. danielsimz, are you yet another context-sensitive spambot? Or are you a human?

Ahem. You've had since October to comment on how you look like a spambot. You've kept this behavior up (including cannibalism) since then. These posts are getting deleted. (Cannibal.)

I signed on to this forum again! Is it sad that that is the only thing I can come up with right now as an accomplishment?

I've jumped my bowling average from a 127 coming into the season up to a 145.

I'm not being as stupid about relationships as I was two years.

This is a tremendous accomplishment.
