Hey peeps,

As mentioned on the bloggeroo, I'm off plunking and polishing a draft of the 'next thing'. But out of sheer curiosity, I wanted to snoop a little and see how far Fox had gotten with spreading the word to the trades. Much to my surprise, a whole schwack (technical term ) of outlets (Yahoo, Reuters, CNET, etc) picked up the story!

But more importantly, I'm catching whispers that Amazon plans on supporting the new release in some very cool ways. And if you head over to Amazon.com, it looks like there's already an advanced listing (just search Broken Saints on DVD).

Would be honored and infinitely appreciative if folks could post reviews of the original, add us to their Amazon favorites, or link us through Amazon product links on their MySpace or similar pages.

Let me know what you think...and feel free to mirror your reviews here as well!

Smooches from the Sunshine Coast of BC, Canada...

xo

Sorry for a doublepost, but I've seen that it's significantly cheaper than MSRP on Amazon, like, $12.50 cheaper. Dang! and the shipping is FREE

There's supposedly a neat audio interview with me that just went live in the ANIME section of the DVD hub at the Big A.

I'll be posting a direct link soon...but give it a listen, as each click boosts the odds of it going into rotation on their main page. You'll need Windows Media Player to hear it (ASF file).

I haven't heard the damn thing yet...but rumor has it that I didn't suck...much.

Miss you guys - Guppy and Eggy are filling in for the lot of you!!!

Wooooooord

We could still use some of these, folks...especially in the Canadian and foreign shops.

Don't let up now...the new BS wave is just beginning to crest!

Hey guys - perhaps someone could go over to Amazon and work their magic to keep this fella's review from being the first available?

Quote:
I will say that it has great audio and tons of extras but the story is beyond contrived.
You could use it as a checklist for every movie cliche and nonsensical trite new age meme. There should be a damn entry in Guinness World Records for saturation of crappy, irrelevant poetry and the worst part of of it lies in the extra features where Director Brooke Burgess simultaneously talks of how we're being commoditized into mindless consumers(tm) and aggressively advertises himself and his sanctimonious beliefs and his less than relevant beliefs about the Iraq war being about control and fear.

Here is a little sample of the ideas he'll be cramming down your throats with all the bluntness of a mace to the skull.
Evil Corporations(tm) and Christians are using the Iraq war to control people with fear- again, about as relevant as Cher and yet somehow even more overrated.
Iraqi's "freedom fighters" are defending themselves from encroaching western Imperialism(tm)- about as relevant as Michael Moore but he's getting there.

I could go on and on but you get the idea- essentially its a wet dream for leftists and new age twits. It would be so much nicer if it didn't feel like he was selling his narcissistic holier-than-thou view of the world an just tried to to sell a good story.

dick.
