Maybe...but I still LOVED it. Now it's a case of understanding the mechanics of the time/space paradoxes involved...

I still think the whole show is one big Karma machine somehow...all roads seem to point there, don't you think?

Matthew Fox is much better than people give him credit for - and the score was beauuuuuuuuuutiful...

What a great way to take the show in a new direction.... my friends hate watching the show with me because I catch onto things quicker than them. That first scene with jack on the airplane I just shouted: "This is in the future!" and I was right too!

I know its not the finale itself.... but did anyone catch the guy sitting in the chair when Ben and Locke were visiting Jacob? It flashed a man sitting there for a second and everyone I knew missed it, and didn't believe me until we rewound the show and freeze framed the man sitting there..... just thought I'd put in my two cents about that

oh yes and the eye colors of the cast change too... if you guys aren't enlightened about that conspiracy yet

I think the man in the chair WAS Jacob. Who else could it be? Though I was severely disappointed by lack of explanation on his role in the story, you just know it's gonna be huge.

Also, most of the finale, I was almost proud. For the first time, the survivors had the upper hand and finally beat the Others at there own game. You can tell that the Others are shattered with the capture of Ben and the death of some of their best members. The only really bad part was Charlie's death, but it was nice to think that his sacrafice would get the survivors home.

And the the truth of the flashbacks came along and shot everything to hell.

Whatever happened after Naomi's boat was contacted, probably as a result of it being contacted, was a colossal tragedy. The way Jack is, you can tell that everything became worse than it was before, which had enough effect to ruin his future life. Kate didn't look much better off, considering that she appears to be in denial that what happened was bad.

She looked a lot better off than before, when she was a fugitive...

Perhaps I should rephrase that.

Jack is obviously very much ruined and estranged from the rest the world after the events on the island, going so far as to say that they have to go back and change it.

Kate says she refuses to believe that things should have turned out differently, but from her expression(s) she doesn't really believe herself.

You gonna tell us?

Pleeeeeeeeease?

Also, this flash-forward took place sometime before the events of the season finale, seeing as Jack isn't quite as FUBAR yet.

It's safe to assume that was Hurley's funeral back then, because who else lives in close proximity to Jack?

Guess I was wrong then. Horribly.

Also, THAT scene felt more like the broadcast than the Season 2 finale this topic was built for.

Not to rain on your parade but I believe that you're a couple years late on this one.

Probably, but was still interesting to see how this all unfolds

So about 7 episodes left. Next week we visit an alternate Hurley. Soon into the future, we visit Jacob and The Man In Black

Massive spoilers inbound, but I've been hearing things about a "23 A.D." episode that shows us the root of all this.
