I think that Alan Moore’s stories are just too damn good to be filmed. What else can explain the fact that WATCHMEN was just shelved (after nearly 15 years of attempts)? Or the Yankee-fication of CONSTANTINE? Or the paper-thin FROM HELL? Or the LEAGUE OF EXTRAORIDINARY WANKERS cinematic abortion? Huh? I want to know!!!
So, it brings me next to no comfort whatsoever that the Wachowskis and their Matrix DOP are on the verge of bringing one of Moore’s most controversial tales to life – a tale rife with corrupt fascist goverment, enigmatic terrorists, and an acid trip to trump all others. More than a little timely, eh? More than a tad poignant. God – this film is NECESSARY…and jeez frickin’ Louise – whatever you do, boys (after your last two pieces of cock-stroking bullshit) don’t fuck this one up. Just remember – the courts have already proven that you’re better when you BORROW 😛
