Another cool interpretive piece by forum rat extraordinaire – GUPPY! And maybe it’s just my state of mind, but I couldn’t help but see something beyond her planned ‘construct’ in this stylized image – something beyond Shandala’s lonely childhood and adolescent pain – perhaps even something frightening and timely, and extremely resonant with recent world events. A few folks have heard of the item on the right and asked for more info – happy to oblige. What you see here is a crude cam phone pic of the original brushed metal BS presskit cases from four years ago! Only 100 were ever produced (and again, mucho thanks for the investment must fall squarely on the shoulders of our pals over at Switch Interactive). Now, only 10 remain…and each and every one of them will be present and accounted for at our booth next week in San Diego – ’cause a dime’s worth o’ folks are gonna get lucky, daddio. (like we said in the latest newsletter, we seriously hope to see you all there!)

And speaking of newsletters (I know, I know…SORRY FOR THE MULTIPLE SEND LAST NIGHT. MY MOUSE HAS TOURETTES :P) – for those who are new to the saintly shores, all you gotta do is go to the Classic Site OR the DVD page, scroll down, and enter your basic cyber particulars. Then you’re in for some monthly mailer madness like only the BS Crew can provide!

I think that Alan Moore’s stories are just too damn good to be filmed. What else can explain the fact that WATCHMEN was just shelved (after nearly 15 years of attempts)? Or the Yankee-fication of CONSTANTINE? Or the paper-thin FROM HELL? Or the LEAGUE OF EXTRAORIDINARY WANKERS cinematic abortion? Huh? I want to know!!!

So, it brings me next to no comfort whatsoever that the Wachowskis and their Matrix DOP are on the verge of bringing one of Moore’s most controversial tales to life – a tale rife with corrupt fascist goverment, enigmatic terrorists, and an acid trip to trump all others. More than a little timely, eh? More than a tad poignant. God – this film is NECESSARY…and jeez frickin’ Louise – whatever you do, boys (after your last two pieces of cock-stroking bullshit) don’t fuck this one up. Just remember – the courts have already proven that you’re better when you BORROW 😛
